A Scottish and Southern price rise has been announced as Scottish and Southern Energy become the latest gas and electricity company to increase energy bills.
The Scottish and Southern price rise will take effect from 14th September 2011, when domestic gas and electricity bills will rise by an average of 11% for electricity and by an average of 18% for gas customers.

British Gas has announced a price rise for its domestic gas and electricity customers with effect from 18th August 2011. With this British Gas price rise for 2011, customers will see their gas prices rise by an average of 18% and their electricity prices rise by an average of 16%.
