Enter Bill Details

Step 3, enter a few details from your gas and electricity bills including the start and end dates, the units used and the bill amount.

You can enter as many gas and electricity bills as you want. Entering one year's worth of data will allow for a more accurate comparison with the national and local averages across both the colder winter and warmer summer months.

Do not worry if you do not have all of your old bills to hand, you can still compare your gas and electricity with just your latest bill.

Step 4, choose the date period you would like to use to compare your gas and electricity against the national and local averages.

We use the data you have provided and the existing data in the Energy Average database to show you easy to read charts, comparing your gas and electricity costs and usage against the national, as well as the local average, to account for the different regional climates within the UK.

For example, if you live in a detached house with a family of four in South East England, using gas for heating, then we will compare your profile with other profiles of detached houses, with families of four, using gas for heating.
